Mental Health & Wellbeing
Promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing throughout our school community is an vital part of our school ethos.
We endeavor to create an open culture around the discussion of mental health and wellbeing, to empower our children, parents and staff to be able to recognise, understand and regulate their emotions (as well as recognising and understanding the emotions of others.).

Our commitment to supporting positive Mental Health at St. Paul's.
Throughout school, we use Zones of Regulation to support children in identifying their emotions and help them to learn strategies to cope when they are feeling certain emotions. It is important that children are taught that it is natural to feel all emotions, and that that there is no 'right' way to feel.
Deuteronomy 31:8
“He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

What is mental health?
We are proud to be working with the Reflexions service to identify, discuss and plan for our children's mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. Reflexions work with children and young people who may need support with:
- low mood
- exam stress
- problems with sleep
- low self esteem
- anxiety.
They also have Specialist Education Mental Health Practitioners who are trained to see children and young people for more complex and high intensity treatment
